In an effort to distract fans from the lousy product on the field, the Jacksonville Jaguars are turning one section of EverBank Field into one giant pool party — trading out 9,500 seats in the north end zone for a two-level “party deck”. For the low price of $12,500, you and 49 friends (or $250 for individuals) get an all-you-can-eat-and-drink party from one of four first-level cabanas. For those not quite as flush, there are upper level cabanas available for $3,000, but you don’t get pool access.
The party deck is part of a $63 million stadium renovation that will include the world’s largest HD LED screens. Another feature this season will be multiple screens in the stadium airing the NFL Red Zone channel, so fans can keep up with what really matters: fantasy football.
