Even though fans in the United States have been sweating our draw for the upcoming World Cup, it is easy to sometimes forget that other Group of Death in Group B. There you will find not one but both nations who made their way to the Final in 2010 in Spain and the Netherlands. Also filling out the group are Australia and Chile.

While most Americans are busy mourning the omission of Landon Donovan, the Chileans are hopeful that their high-energy style will be able to survive their own death.  And a certain group of Chileans know that sense of hope and survival more than most people could ever imagine – of course those being the survivors of the 2010 mining incident. Those inspiring individuals came together, at the site of their entrapping and rescue, to film this incredible ad in support of their national side.

The other cool part about this is the soil that the team will take with them to Brazil to spread around their training grounds as a symbol of hope and perseverance.

And do not underestimate this Chilean team. They have an exciting style and plenty of skill to give the 2010 Finalists something to worry about. So don’t be surprised if the Chileans do what they have proven they can do.

Survive.
