Rene Bourque’s parents weren’t on hand to watch their son’s hat trick during a must-win Game 5 in Montreal on Tuesday night. Instead, they watched at home in Lac La Biche, Alberta as the Canadiens forced a Game 6 with a decisive 7-4 victory against the Rangers.

Not wanting Mr. & Mrs. Bourque to feel left out, some Canadiens fans stopped by their house and tossed hats on the front lawn following the game, celebrating their son’s huge performance in a crucial game. It might not have been as wild of a scene as the Bell Centre on Tuesday night, but I’m sure it was a pretty awesome sight for two proud parents regardless.
