New York Rangers defenseman John Moore was ejected late in Tuesday’s ECF Game 5 in Montreal for this high hit on Montreal’s Dale Weise. The hit, which left Weise visibly shaken (he later returned), landed Moore with major for elbowing and a game misconduct.
Moore could (and likely will) receive supplemental discipline from the league as a result of the play. A similar hit earlier in the series landed Brandon Prust with a two-game suspension
Update:Moore has also been suspended two games.
