The Cincinnati Reds beat the Washington Nationals in 15 innings, 4-3, thanks to two remarkable plays by Brandon Phillips and Billy Hamilton during extra innings.

Phillips originally saved the game for the Reds in the bottom of the 12th with two outs and runners on first and third and Wilson Ramos at the plate. Phillips, who has four Gold Glove awards for his play at second, made a full-extension diving catch to send the game into the 13th.

During the 14th inning with the Nationals having another walk-off opportunity, center fielder Billy Hamilton took a certain walk-off hit away from Anthony Rendon with his own version of a game-saving diving-catch.
