Heineken | The ExperimentHeineken is collaborating with world famous DJ Armin Van Buuren on a campaign to get young people to slow down the drinking. When you drink too much, too fast you always look like a jerk anyway so you should pay attention. The campaign which their calling “Dance More, Drink Slow” is basically encouraging everyone to stop binge drinking like idiots and to actually enjoy yourself and stay in control.

The campaign video is based around a social experiment that captures two different nights at the same club. The only difference is the DJ. The video shows the influence a DJ can have on your night by keeping you on the dance floor. The video was shot in Miami and directed by by Philip Andelman, who has also  directed videos for artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Lenny Kravitz.

Van Buuren gave some more insight on the partnership:
“When I play a DJ set to thousands of music lovers, I want them to enjoy the moment, to remember it after the night has finished. This means consuming alcohol in moderation, so that the moment is not lost.

The reason I have partnered with Heineken on ‘Dance More, Drink Slow’ is because we have a fantastic opportunity, and responsibility, to connect better with our audience and affect behavior change. Drinking responsibly is an important issue and being able to use music, specifically the “Save my Night” track, to innovatively deliver that message directly to fans on the dance floor is unique.”
