For a supermodel, landing the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover is the equivalent of being the quarterback for the team who wins the Super Bowl. It can launch a model into the mainstream appeal and garner worldwide exposure. The S.I. Swimsuit issue does not hit news shelves until February 11th and everyone is quite tight-lipped about revealing who will be the main attraction, however in my opinion Emily Ratajkowski is primed to take the spotlight. The Polish/Israeli model was born in Westminster, London, England and grew up in Encinitas, California. The stunning Ratajkowski was signed by Ford Models at age 14 and is an actress who appeared in Nickelodeon’s iCarly. She was photographed by Terry Richardson for her GQ photoshoot. However the alluring Emily reached mainstream success when she danced around topless with Robin Thicke, Pharrell and rapper TI in the most controversial music video of 2013, “Blurred Lines.” At only 22-years-old, Emily is ready for the big time, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover.

MJ Day, an editor for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, has been so kind to give her Instagram followers a sneak peek into the 50th anniversary edition. Amongst her titillating photos, which do not divulge the heads or identities of the models, there seems to be a lovely lass with a scintillating figure that has a striking resemblance to Emily Ratajkowski’s. There are also photos of girls who appear to be Kate Upton and Nina Agdal, but look for the newcomer, Emily Ratajkowski to take the top spot and for good reason as you can see by the delightful photos.
