In baseball they have the hidden ball trick and at Arkansas they run the hidden player trick. During the GoDaddy Bowl Arkansas State ran the “Hide The Midget” trick play against Ball State. Arkansas State wide receiver R.J. Fleming crouched down behind the offensive line before the snap and was given a handoff then sprinted after the defense took the bait and chased after the wrong player. The chicanery gave Fleming some open real estate and he went 27 yards and set up the game-tying touchdown just before the half. Arkansas State went on to win the game by the score of 23-20 thanks to some clever subterfuge.
