With only days until the release of “Anchorman 2” we prepare for the highly anticipated sequel by sharing some cocktail recipes that Ron Burgundy and the rest of the gang would drink. Now you can get sloshed like you were a real member of the Channel 4 News Team. Today’s outta sight libation is called “When In Manhattan.” We put a delectable twist on the old Manhattan cocktail by giving it a juicy sweet, citrusy flavor. Say it with me people, “UNIQUE. NEW YORK. COCKTAIL.”
3 Parts Kilbeggan Irish whiskey
1 Part Grand Marnier
1 Part Vermouth
2 Part Orange Juice
Dash of Angostura Bitters
Veronica Corningstone may want to kick the vermouth in the side with a pair of steel-toed boots on this cocktail, but in my opinion I like to give the smooth and Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey a heavy pour. In a cocktail shaker half full of ice add the Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey, Grand Marnier and vermouth, orange juice and Angostura Bitters. Shake it like it owes you money for 30 seconds, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel if you want to be a fancy pants.
