Everybody’s favorite anchorman was in Winnipeg at the MTS Centre on Sunday for the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings curling competition. The event featured some of the world’s best curlers as they prepare for the Sochi Winter Olympics. Mr. Burgundy was there to lend his expertise and call the much ballyhooed event. Will Ferrell received some pointers from four-time curling world champion Glenn Howard as he became acclimated with the ice sport. While he didn’t strap on the skates, Burgundy did try his first curling throw and it was a winner. You can see Mr. Burgundy bring some hijinx as he announced the event here. Afterwards Ron Burgundy could barely lift his right arm cause he did so much curling.
