In case you missed it over the weekend, two small planes collided in mid-air over Superior (Wisconsin) — a situation that, under most circumstances, would probably end with tragic results. However, this story has a happy ending, as the occupants of both planes were trained skydivers who were preparing for a planned jump from 12,000 feet. All 11 people, including the pilots, escaped alive by abandoning the planned jump and getting as far the hell away from their wrecked planes as possible.

Because it was a planned jump, two of the participants had helmet-mounted video cameras which captured the entire accident. It’s really harrowing footage, and if you’re afraid of heights, airplane crashes (well, who isn’t?), and/or very shaky video, you may not want to watch. But again, everyone survived, so it’s much easier to stomach.
