Ray Lewis went out on top. Now he is attempting to climb to the top.
The 38-year-old former linebacker/noted maniac announced on his Twitter that he plans on climbing to the top Mount Kilimanjaro next month.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Lewis is climbing to raise awareness for Clean Water Projects in East Africa.
The former Ravens linebacker said today on his Twitter page that he will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money and awareness for clean water projects in East Africa. Lewis will undertake the mission, which he has billed TackleKili, next month.

- Mt. Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest free-standing mountain at the world checking-in at 19,341 feet base to summit.
- Kilimanjaro is a stratovolcano.
- Two of Kilimanjaro’s three peaks are extinct, its tallest peak Kibo is dormant and could erupt again. Its last eruption took place between 150,000-200,000 years ago.
- Nobody knows the exact origin of the name Kilimanjaro.
