Update On Amy’s Baking Company: Owner Might Get Deported And A Hilarious Animation

Remember not long ago Amy’s Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona became an instant internet sensation for all the wrong reasons? The abhorrent husband and wife owned restaurant from Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares is back in the spotlight, and again for all the wrong reasons.

Samy Bouzaglo, the co-owner of the infamous Amy’s Baking Company Bakery Boutique & Bistro is facing deportation from the country. Samy is a Moroccan-born Israeli citizen, who forgot to mention that he went to prison 13 years before he came to the United States for drug distribution and extortion charges. Bouzaglo’s lawyer David Asser has refused to comment on the pending case. Meanwhile Bouzaglo had this to say about his immigration court proceedings, “The FBI knows all about me…. The IRS knows. I want people to know about me. But not today, not tomorrow. I have nothing to hide.” His wife Amy added, “We both made mistakes in the past. We have done our time.” Amy, formerly Amanda Bossingham, is no angel herself after pleading guilty and doing a year in prison for using another person’s Social Security number to apply for a $15,000 bank loan in 2003.

All the allegations won’t stop Amy’s Baking Company from it’s week-long “Grand Reopening” celebration. However a lack of customers may slow it down, not to mention the imposing presence of security guards watching you as you eat your lackluster fare. This was the scene at Amy’s on Day One of their Grand Reopening as armed security guards secure the dining establishment.

Meanwhile Mr. Scrib, the pizzeria next to Amy’s Baking Co. has decided to use their neighbor’s unwanted fame to advertise their fine establishment. Mr. Scrib’s is utilizing the strange marketing scheme that they love their customers and would never hit them, a concept very foreign to Amy’s.

It’s not all horrendous food reviews and possible deportation from the country for Amy’s Baking Company because there is an adorable animation to help promote the restaurant.
