Brittney Griner got a lesson from a legend recently, and by the looks of the practice tape she is a quick learner. Los Angeles Lakers’ legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar took time out of his schedule to attend a practice session which was put together by Mercury vice president Ann Meyers Drysdale, who asked the NBA office to see if Abdul-Jabbar would be available to address the team and work with Griner. ¬†Kareem worked with Brittney on many post moves, but one stood out tall above the rest for good reason. ¬†Griner is one of the most highly touted recruits to be headed to the WNBA, and it can’t hurt for the #1 pick to add a sky-hook to her arsenal.

Griner commented on the day by saying “I went to legend school today and it was awesome.”
