It seems like New York Yankees pitchers’ Mariano Rivera and Joba Chamberlain have made nice and their short lived ‘feud’ is over. The Yankees PR department pulled off a great PR move by Tweeting out a photo of the two pitchers hugging in the clubhouse on Sunday morning singling that all is well.
It was reported that the two got into a tiff on Saturday prior to the Yankees game when Joba scolded Rivera and told him to never ‘shush’ him. The NY Daily news reported on the incident as they saw it occur.
Joba Chamberlain and Mariano Rivera exchanged tense words in the dugout before Saturday night’s game, as Chamberlain took exception to Rivera instructing him to quiet down while the closer chatted with reporters about an emotional event he had held earlier in the day with several local families.
“Don’t ever shush me again,” Chamberlain told Rivera in full view of reporters and fans.
It is good to see that all is well in the Yankees clubhouse and they can get back to furthering their first place lead in the AL East.
