Knicks Show Up To Game 5 At MSG Dressed In Black For Celtics ‘Funeral.’ Celtics End Up Winning.

After the Knicks Game 4 loss to the Celtics, Kenyon Martin made a statement that urged his teammates to wear ‘funeral colors’ to Game 5 to show they were ready to finish off Boston. It looks like J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert got the memo because they arrived in all black everything, as did Kenyon. ¬†Unfortunately for the Knicks the Celtics were not ready for their dirt nap and ended up winning Game 5 by a score of 92-86.

J.R. Smith was asked about the decision to wear black following the game and he responded:¬†“We thought we were going to a funeral, we were the one’s who got buried.”
