I live approximately 3,000 miles away from Orlando, so I don’t know much about the connection former Magic (and current Milwaukee Bucks) shooting guard J.J. Redick had with the city where he spent the first six and a half years of his career. But clearly it was something special, as Redick returned to Orlando for the first time since being traded in February, and was showered with cheers and “We Love/Miss You” signs.
It’s a stark contrast to Dwight Howard’s much ballyhooed return in March, when Magic fans packed the arena to boo their former All-Star center.
