Tiger Woods, Kyrie Irving Make Cameos In Nike Skateboarding Commercial

Nike Skateboarding released a new commercial for Nike SB athlete Eric Koston’s new shoe, the Eric Koston 2, and it is a star-studded feature.

The spot, entitled The Legend Grows, is about a epic trick Koston does that becomes legend after some big-time Nike athletes hear about it.

From Nike Inc.:

It’s a trick so revered that the gossip goes global, starting with Nike Skateboarding team riders Sean Malto to Ishod Wair at ground zero. From there, it endures a language change to reach Brazilian footballer Neymar as his famous mane is styled. Making it back to the Nike SB team, Paul Rodriguez learns of Eric’s feat through a talkative dentist. Kyrie Irving explains his version in the middle of practice, and even Allyson Felix joins the gossip during training — Ending with another sport legend, Tiger Woods, as he exits a grocery store — it’s clear the legend that is Eric Koston has no end in sight.

Here’s a pretty cool behind the scenes look at the making of The Legend Grows with small interviews from all the athletes featured in the commercial. Tiger Woods even talks about how he grew up “riding pools” and “doing halfpipes,” but we’re not too sure we believe him.
