Colorado Avalanche defenseman Ryan O’Byrne blocked a shot with his knee Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks and the result was not a pretty sight.
O’Byrne tweeted a picture of his knee the day after and the damage was evident. His knee actually looks liked it birthed a second kneecap.

No word on if or how long he will be sidelined due to this injury, but knowing hockey players, he probably won’t be out long.
