South Florida is making steps to solve their snake problem with cash prizes, as nearly 100,000 pythons are assumed to exist in and around the urbanized Miami areas that rest near the Everglades. As many snake owners simply choose to release their snakes into the wild, it is clearly evident that some of these Pythons get massive and that the problem seems to be getting bigger and more dramatic with each catch. The Everglades is surely no place that I would ever want to be.

Contest Results and Info:

68 Burmese pythons killed during January 12-February 12th. 1,600 registered hunters. $1500 for the most pythons caught.
