John Giannone, who is the rinkside reporter for New York Rangers’ home broadcasts has obviously been around hockey players for quite a while. Giannone took a puck directly to the face during Thursday night’s Rangers and Islanders game, but that wasn’t going to keep him from returning to work just minutes later. The incident occured as the second period was ending and sure enough Giannone was right back between the benches for the start of the third period, with a few bandages on his face.
