Man With No Legs Races Horse, Man Wins [Video]

Oscar Pistorius in one of the world’s fastest men, and recently he took his talents to Qatar to race a horse.  You may think it has been done before, but we would also like to remind you that Oscar has no legs, but instead runs on blades.  Pistorius ran the 100m race and absolutely smoked the Arabian horse.  The race was part of a campaign designed to show off ‘that disabled athletes deserve the same respect and opportunities as able-bodied ones.’

Following the race Oscar had some thoughts:

“It wasn’t about who won today, it was just about coming out here and really just showing people that those with disabilities are not to be stereotyped against.  Having the Arab horse out here, which is a symbolization of strength and power in this region … to be able to do a showcase event like this is a lot of fun.”

That is just plain awesome in our opinion, head start or not.
