We have seen a NASCAR vehicle take the brunt of a parachutist tumbling to earth, but this is the first time I have seen a soccer player be taken out by one. During warm-ups of a soccer match in Ecuador between LDU Quito and Barcelona Guayaquil, parachutist Jose Sislema Merello had some trouble with his landing and crashed directly into LDU Quito striker Claudio Daniel Bieler. You can see from the video that no one was particularly happy.
