The new model comes in both black and white. The 8-inch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio gives the iPad Mini a size advantage over 7-inch competitors. The area measures 29.6 square inches to 21.9 on a 16:9 7-inch tablet. It has the same resolution as the original iPad and iPad 2, at 1,024 x 768.

The iPad Mini packs an A5 chip, the equivalent of the current iPod touch. It has a front-facing FaceTime 720p camera, with 5-megapixel camera in back. It also includes Apple’s new Lightning connector, which first debuted on the iPhone 5.

At 0.68 pounds, the iPad Mini is less than half the weight of the full-size iPad.

Apple unveiled the 4th generation iPad:

Details via Tech Crunch:

the iPad will now come with a Lightning port. A6X and expanded LTE will be added to the iPad as well.

The Lightning port is a good addition for iPhone 5 customers who are going to buy an iPad before the holidays. It will help Apple simplify the product line for accessories and reduce costs related to the supply chain.

Apple surprised us with a couple of other changes. The A6X was added to the iPad as well as expanded LTE support. The company has kept the same design.

Apple unveiled the 13″ Retina MacBook Pro, Which will retail starting at $1699:

Details via Mashable:

Today’s version comes is a more compact, 13″ Retina MacBook Pro. Specs of the device leaked out just hours before today’s live event.

There are three base models of the new 13″ MacBook Pro Retina:

  • 2.5 Ghz i5 with 128GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, $1699
  • 2.5 Ghz i5 with 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM,
  • 2.9 Ghz i7 with 512 SSD and 8GB of RAM,

Is this pricey? Yes. But trust us, if you spend any time with a retina MacBook Pro display, you won’t want anything else. I’ve gone on record as saying the 15″ MacBook Pro is the nicest computer I’ve ever used.

The 13″ Retina MacBook Pro is just three-quarters of an inch thick and it weighs a full pound less than the existing 13″ MacBook Pro.

And of course, there’s the screen. The new MacBook Pro has a resolution of 2560×1600. To put that in perspective, that’s a higher resolution than the 27″ iMac.

Like the 15″ Retina MacBook Pro, it has no optical drive, USB 3.0 and a full HDMI output (meaning you can easily do dual monitors). It also includes two Thunderbolt ports.

Apple unveiled a new and ultra-thin iMac:

Details via Mashable:

Today, Apple is updating the iMac again, not only with the latest hardware, it’s also incredibly thin.

Like the MacBook Air and the Retina MacBook Pro, the iMac eschews the optical drive.

Still, don’t think the new iMac is low on specs. The devices can be configured with quad-core i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge processors, can take up to 32GB of RAM.

The Ivy Bridge means users have access to USB 3. Users will be able to choose between a traditional hard drive, an SSD or Apple’s new Fusion Drive.

Fusion Drive is Apple technology that allows users to have a hybrid SSD/traditional HD experience. This means that you’re most used and disk-intensive apps load from the SSD but your media, movies and music can still exist on a traditional hard drive.

The 21.5″ iMac will start at $1299. It’ll have a 2.7 quad-core i5 with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive.

The 27″ iMac will start at $1799 for a quad core i5 with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive.

You can upgrade the 21.5″ or 27″ iMac it to use either an SSD or Apple’s new Fusion Drive.

The 21.5″ iMac will go on sale in November. The 27″ iMac will go on sale in December.
