Larry Bird and Michael Jordan still have bragging rights over trick shot imitators but a few variations in the last decade are still impressive, including one completed by a couple members of the Purdue basketball team earlier this week.

Two current Purdue University basketball players, D.J. Byrd and Dru Antrhrop, along with former player and current graduate assistant Ryne Smith, were those that put together the trick shot video.  We have seen various programs or individual players film dozens of uniquely impressive shots and while many may wonder how many shots did it take to sink each of those dazzling buckets, the concept still amazes most.  It is also comforting to know that while the excitement of the style of play of Big Ten basketball is depressingly bland, the possibility of rolling a trash can onto Keady Court at Mackey Arena remains a definite possibility.  That should help Purdue head coach Matt Painter sleep better at night.
