During Monday’s presidential inauguration festivities in Russia, newly appointed president Vladimir Putin joined a team of amateur ice hockey players to take on some of the country’s hockey legends. After promising to improve his skills, Putin scored a goal during his first shift on the ice and assisted on a last minute game tying-goal. Most notable however, was his shootout winner, where he came skating up the ice at about three miles per hour and snuck one past the legend’s goaltender.
Classy move by the goalie to throw up his left arm as if he was actually trying to deny the president of his country from scoring. Regardless, Putin’s got a sweet backhand.
