During the first quarter of tonight’s game against the Miami Heat, these five people were on the floor wearing Boston Celtics uniforms:

  • Avery Bradley
  • Marquis Daniels
  • Brandon Bass
  • Keyon Dooling
  • Chris Wilcox
Yeah, yeah, Paul Pierce and Jeff Green are out.  Still, that’s a gruesome lineup.
Meanwhile, early in the second quarter, the LA Lakers trotted out this fearsome fivesome against the Utah Jazz:
  • Josh McRoberts
  • Steve Blake
  • Metta World Peace
  • Troy Murphy
  • Jason Kapono
Yeah, yeah, Bynum’s suspended.  Still, this team would have lost to the Nets’ bench.
In other news, the Miami Heat look incredibly good this year.  This tweet from @marcel_mutoni captures the ideal strategy for beating them:
Some rival NBA team should offer Eddy Curry $50 million to inhale both LeBron and Wade. #OnlyWayToStopMiami

Love the site, far fewer comments than there should be, but Bass and Dooling carried the Celts tonight. The Lakers would be dead in the water on defense (and leadership) without World Peace coming of the bench.

  • The Heat still sucked in the 4th quarter just like last year, but got bailed out by a rookie who didn’t know any better.
