Norwegians Combine Electric Shocks And Soccer [Video]

With six hours of daylight and temperatures that get up to the freezing level on a warm day this time of year Norwegians have a lot of time on their hands.  Thus was born Elektrosjokkfotball (Electroshock football).

Unbelievably it is exactly what it sounds like.  Players and referees wired up with dog training collars on their legs capable of delivering varying levels of electric shock during play.  The team managers held the keys and were able to punish players on the opposing team and the refs if they saw something they didn’t like.

It’s as awesome as you imagine it will be (hit the ‘cc’ button to bring up English subtitles):

Any chance they could deploy this technology for FIFA board meetings?  I think we can all agree Sepp Blatter could use some ‘guidance’ in his decision making.
