The Man Known as “Space Mountain” Visited The Boston Red Sox Tuesday

Who is man they call “Space Mountain”? Well, its none other than the limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling dealing son of a gun that has held the 12lbs of gold around his waist a total of 16 times, the originator of swag, Ric Flair! Woooo!

Yeah, I’m a HUGE Flair fan and I’m not the only one. Flair surprised the club house on Tuesday to energize the struggling Red Sox which left some of the the Red Sox players speechless.

Ric Flair, a 16-time world heavyweight wrestling champion that has entertained fans for nearly 40 years, surprised the Sox with an impromptu visit that accomplished the unaccomplishable — it rendered Dustin Pedroia speechless.
Pedroia, who teamed with Josh Reddick to purchase an autographed Flair robe that has hung above Pedroia’s locker for months, was given an authentic championship belt from the champ. Many of the players came over to lift it, commenting on the incredible weight of the thing, unlike the light toy model that also hung over Pedroia’s locker.
After Flair took photos with Pedroia and Reddick, he called Terry Francona “coach” and then departed with a trademark “Wooooooo,” leaving behind a group of grown men giggling like little boys.
“We had no clue,” Reddick said. “We were both just sitting there and we turned around and there he was in the flesh.”

Even with the visit from the former champ, the Red Sox were unable to win last night.
