In another show of European soccer violence, a fan has assaulted goalkeeper Pär Hansson during a Swedish league match.
Hansson’s side, Helsingborgs IF, scored in the 30th minute of an away match at Malmo and the fireworks began… Literally. The home fans tossed a firecracker in very near proximity to Hansson and while he was being treated for that incident, a fan ran on the field and pushed the keeper from his blindside. Things could have gotten much worse, but security tackled the fan immediately. Subsequently, the match was called off 20 minutes later.
