“Go NY Go” has been the Knicks’ theme song for quite some time now and just in time for the playoffs they have enlisted producer, Swizz Beatz, to update this year’s track. The version is set to premiere during this year’s playoffs. Below you can check out footage from Swizz and Amare Stoudemire recording a music video for the updated track.
Swizz spoke to XXL about the track:
“[Swizz] is from from the Bronx. [The Knicks] always try to get people that have that connection; people who they feel could really pay homage ’cause they represent that culture. Plus, [with] the new sizzle that they have with Carmelo [Anthony] and Amare [Stoudemire], they want to give people an updated but still vintage song that reflects the old [song]. It’s just a lil’ more spicy.”
