Mike Tyson’s New iPhone Game Blows Off Stripper Steam

Mike Tyson's Main Event iPhone Game

Irvine based RockLive, the mobile game developer responsible for the successful Mad Chad, has a new title coming out: Mike Tyson’s Main Event. To celebrate the announcement, Rocklive set up a boxing ring at SXSW this week and held a meet-and-greet with Mike Tyson. Tyson said that the game revolves around “fighting all these celebritites to get to me, and there’s going to be an array of celebrities, you know, as a matter of fact it’ll be really eclectic. You may have a weird guy like Osama bin Laden there.” Osama bin Laden is a weird guy? I think the FBI’s most wanted terrorist can be classified as a lot more than just “weird.”

When asked why he’s excited to make a mobile game versus a traditional video game like the classic Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!, Mike had this to say:

“Listen, you know why? What’s the closest thing to your heart, almost more important than your money–you need it to get to your money, more or less, especially if you’re stranded? ‘Hey, Bob, send me some money, I need some money, I got drunk and robbed by a stripper, so send me some money!’ That’s what you need your phone for. And while you’re doing that, you can be p’d off and say, ‘Well, I’m going to be p***ed anyway, so this is what I’m going to do since this stripper took my money, I’m going to knock out some people on this Mike Tyson Main Event thing!'”

Well said big Mike!
