The San Francisco 49ers has a solid win Monday Night against the Arizona Cardinals but lost their star running back Frank Gore early in the game with a hip injury. Unfortunately, the 49ers have lost Gore for the remainder of the season due to the injury.
Frank Gore is in his 6th Season out of the University of Miami. This year he has rushed for 853 yards and 3 TD’s on 203 carries. This is a gargantuan loss for the 49ers who at 4-7 still had a window to actually make the playoffs. They will suffer significantly in that quest without their catalyst on offense.
NFL veteran Brian Westbrook had a strong outing on Monday Night coming off the bench for Gore and will undoubtedly see continued playing time through the remainder of the season with Gore on the sidelines.
